Excellent voice-enabled user interface, decent launch lineup, good games and entertainment integration.

Quite large and chunky, controllers still use batteries, Xbox Live Gold membership to use most multimedia or communication apps.

Bottom Line

The Xbox One is almost a revolutionary console, giving you a different way to enjoy your home entertainment, and some features – Kinect, the new controller and the cloud have the potential to change gaming for the better. While it’s not quite as powerful as its rival, the Xbox One brings other impressive featured to the table such as the enhanced Kinect voice and motion controls, the superb integration of entertainment services, or the potential for cloud-based processing in years to come. Buying the Xbox One is fairly expensive – but it feels like it could be the console of the future, if Microsoft can deliver on its promises.
